Pepsi has announced that its Aquafina bottled water will be put in cans starting in 2020.

Pepsi hopes to make all of its packaging recyclable, compost-able or biodegradable by 2025.

Changes are also coming to their "Life Wtr" and "Bubly" brands.

More here.

Someone told me recycling cans is only environmentally friendly if electricity is REALLY cheap. With nuclear and hydroelectric dams in Benton and Grant counties, that could work here. I've also heard natural gas is mostly, almost clean energy.

But if you're using coal energy to recycle, is that really better than plastic? I wonder. I'm glad they're trying though. At my house we still drink mostly out of the tap with water bottles reserved for car trips or playing on the river.
