Lady With Infamous Mugshot Who Lived in Richland Gets 11 Years

A long, exhausting and viral saga finally comes to an end. A woman who gained national notoriety for smiling during her mugshot as she was booked for DUI manslaughter was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

After initially moving to Richland (November-March) during the lead-up to the trial, Angenette Welk returned to Florida. She plead "no contest" and accepted a plea deal. She was given 11 years. At the time of the crash, Welk's blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.

The victim was Sandra Clarkston, a 60-year-old woman survived by her three children.
