Experts Say Climate Change Already Impacting the Northwest — What Will It Take for You to Believe? [SURVEY]

There's a new report about climate change and it's got me wondering how many signs we'll need to see before a majority believes there's a problem. Personally, I think the frequency and intensity of global storms is getting pretty damn bad. Here in eastern Washington it seems we're getting less snow than we did when I was a kid.

From the third National Climate Assessment:

• Snow pack in the mountains has been decreasing for the past 60 years and that means snow melt is too. This will impact salmon, farmers and hyroelectric power.
• A big earthquake could drop the coast by six feet and and if sea levels rise by two feet a lot of Seattle will be under water.
• Changes in climate weakens trees, making them more prone to insect problems and forest fires. The number and severity of wildfires is expected to increase.
