Firefighters Save W. Richland Home From 15-Foot Flames
It's unclear where they bought the fireworks, but a West Richland family said they had no idea they were aerials.
Unprepared for air-borne fireworks, they chose a poor location on July 4th and caught their tree on fire. That led to another, and another.
By the time firefighters arrived a fence and 10 trees were ablaze 30 feet from the home!
But the blaze was contained and all is well.
9 vehicles were damaged or destroyed in Richland that same night and the dike near the Blue Bridge also caught fire and needed a water cannon to be suppressed.
