As another day of unhealthy smoke lingers in our area, due to a number of wildfires burning, airline travel has been affected.

At the Tri-Cities Airport, some flights were canceled over the weekend and Monday due to smoky conditions.

Officials recommend calling the airline you have a reservation with to determine if your flight has been affected.  You can also check the airport website.

It should also be noted that some flights out of Spokane to Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles were canceled.

Also, visibility on area roads has been greatly reduced due to smoky conditions.
