
Freak Accident: Hermiston Man Gets Buried Alive in Onion Hopper
A freak accident caused an employee of a Hermiston onion processing plant to get trapped in an onion hopper.

According to a report in the East Oregonian Newspaper the worker was using a stick to un-jam the hopper and somehow ended up stuck inside covered in onions. Rescue crews cut a hole in the machine to free the man and he was treated at a local hospital with no major injuries. Whew! Close call.
