‘He Went That-a-way!’ Wanted Man Posed as Witness Once Found

A Moses Lake man was sentenced this week for a crime he committed back in 2013 while on the run from police.

Neighbors identified a wanted man in a back yard and called police. A chase ensued and once nabbed, the suspect tried convincing police he had seen the runaway criminal. He said he'd witnessed the suspect he'd run into a nearby yard and enter a home through the back door.

Police had interviewed enough other witnesses to positively identify the suspect and didn't fall for the story.

In addition to being arrested on multiple warrants, he also had nearly two grams of meth in his wallet.
