History is against the Seahawks on Saturday taking on the Cowboys in Dallas.

Seattle is a two-and-a-half point underdog in Big "D".

There is only one instance in the history of the franchise where Seattle reached the conference championship game as a wild card and that was back when the Seahawks were still in the AFC...the 1983 season where they shocked the Dolphins in Miami before succumbing to the eventual Super Bowl Champions, the Los Angeles Raiders, in the AFC title tilt.

Since 2006, whenever Seattle has won the wild card game, the Seahawks have lost in the divisional round.

This has been the case 4 times in the Pete Carroll era and 3 times with Russell Wilson as QB.

We’ve only reached the SB after winning the division and clinching a first round bye.

On the bright side, we've never lost a conference championship game at home and if Philly can somehow run the table and so do the Hawks, the Eagles would have to travel to play the Seahawks in Seattle for the NFC title.

I know, a long way to go before that develops....however, who can forget the time Dallas and Tony Romo were poised to post a playoff road win until Romo muffed the snap on a chip shot field goal attempt by the most accurate kicker in the game at the time. Relive that, here.
