I once got into an altercation with a co-worker about whether it was ok or NOT to eat yogurt past the expiration date.
He insisted the yogurt would be perfectly fine to eat up to a week past the posted expiration date. I said, "No-way!" He ate it.

My mom said, "They're in a can. So, they're still good." Nope. We tossed everything. There was a can of green beans 13-years old. That was the record.
