A person accused of leaving the scene of a rollover collision was detained soon after the incident.

Washington State Patrol and Benton County sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the rollover crash on Interstate 82, just south of Kennewick.

The Rollover Incident Happened Monday at About 10:30 am

As deputies arrived at the scene, the vehicle was located, however, the driver was not. It appeared the driver fled the scene on foot. Deputies say the driver was seen running into the fields nearby.

Teamwork Got the Job Accomplished, the Suspect Was Located

Officers worked with K9 teams and drones to search the area. According to the Benton County Sheriff's Office:

Deputies located the subject climbing out of a ravine and took him into custody. The subject had traveled a couple of miles using the ravines as cover.
