If I weren't heading out of town for the weekend I would be coming to this! I'm just now imagining the mouth-watering pies that might be served.
Yum! I love a good pie crust and about any filling! Berry pies are some of my favorites, but I also love Sour Cream Raisin pie (which no one seems to make anymore btw) Pumpkin pie, Apple pie, and Cherry pie...Oh my, now I'm going to be craving pie! I like to heat mine up and put a scoop of ice cream on top or whipped cream.
I used to be pretty good at making pies from scratch. During the early years of marriage, I prided myself on the perfect crust and delicious pies I would make. I'm not sure why I stopped making them. I also used to make my Sourdough French bread bread all the time.
Who's got time for that now right? At any rate, If you are thinking about making pies for Thanksgiving or serving store-bought pies, this event would allow you to see what wines pair well with different pies.
I really wish I could go to this.
If you go, send me an App Chat and tell me how it was and what ya learned!
