It seemed like we'd have some closure in the Travis Decker case after the FBI discovered bones near where Decker's three daughters were killed in Washington State.

During a two-day search on August 25th and 26th near Leavenworth's Rock Island Campground, the FBI recovered bones thought to be potential evidence in the manhunt for Travis Decker.

$20,000 Reward Still Offered in Hunt for Suspect Travis Decker
Decker has been missing since late May, following a custody visit. His three daughters, Paityn (9), Evelyn (8), and Olivia (5), were found deceased on June 2 near the same campground.
It sadly turns out that the bones discovered during the search weren't human bones but those of a deceased animal.
It means that the search continues for Travis Decker, who is the #1 suspect in the deaths of the girls.
Despite the scale of the search, there’s still no confirmation on whether Decker is alive or deceased, and law enforcement continues to follow every lead.
I've tried to speculate on how he's managed to evade law enforcement, and I was one of those folks hoping we'd get closure on the case with these found bones, but as discussed earlier, the bones weren't human, so the search continues for Travis Decker.
A reward of $20,000 has been offered for any information leading to his capture or whereabouts.
If you see Travis Decker, please call 911 immediately and do not attempt to contact or approach him. Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest U.S. Marshals office, the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 1-800-336-0102, or USMS Tips at usmarshals.gov/tips.
