As the winter chill sets in across Washington, many locals—myself included—are heading south to the warmth of Arizona.

Winter is filled with fun activities in AZ

For those of us who love staying active outdoors, escaping the cold and gloomy weather isn't just about a change of scenery; it's about staying healthy and energized through the winter months.

I recently returned from a stunning trip to Sedona, Arizona, and I can see why so many Washingtonians flock to this desert oasis.

With its vibrant red rocks, clear blue skies, and perfect temperatures, Sedona offers the ideal escape from the frigid Pacific Northwest.

Explore the Red Rock Hikes of Arizona

The hiking trails here are some of the best in the country, and We spent our days exploring them and soaking up the sunshine, and taking in the awe-inspiring views.

But my next trip to Arizona will be even more exciting—I'll be bringing my horses along! And my two dogs.

There’s nothing quite like horseback riding through expansive landscapes. The weather is perfect for outdoor exercise, and my horses will love the break from the cold, too.

If you’re craving sunshine and a chance to stay active outside during the winter months, Sedona—and Arizona in general—offers a much-needed respite. Apparently there are huge amounts of people that travel each year from Tri-Cities to Arizona!

Whether you're into hiking, biking, or horseback riding, it's the perfect place to recharge and embrace the desert beauty.

We all went to celebrate my oldest son Nick's Birthday! It was so fun to have us all together for a trip. Not all of the family was there but it was a good bunch of us!

One of my favorite places was Black Potion Coffee & Crystals Coffee & Gift Shop. This was the best place for great Coffee and Matcha Tea. You'll find beautiful and unique items in jewelry and crystal rocks and stones from the desert.

Crystal Willingham a former Tri-Citian is available to give readings and take Ora photos. So I indulged and had her do mine! It was so interesting!

Check out some of the photos from my recent trip, and stay tuned for more updates on my upcoming adventure to Arizona with my animals!

We went on an excursion with Local Meditation expert Demire, who led us up a beautiful red rock hike to the top of a plateau. We did some breathing exercises and meditation and spent some very special moments overlooking the valley of Sedona. It was really cool.

I was quite surprised at the difference in scenery once we drove to Oak Creek. We stopped at Bootleggers and saw this beautiful part of the river with big huge boulders. We spent a lot of time there admiring the beauty and letting the kids climb all over the huge rocks. My son even took a Cold Plunge!

If you plan to travel to Sedona I have heard that the Pink Jeep excursions are amazing! We didn't do it because it was pretty chilly. But it's supposed to be amazing! I'll save that for next time! Send me an App chat if you've been to Sedona and tell me what you liked the most!
