Finding a house that meets all your needs in this day and age is almost impossible to do within the budget you have. This is especially true for those like me, who are not the handyman type. Personally, I find the word "remodel" to be terrifying. However, if you dream of a conversion project with open space, maybe you would find this interesting.

This church from 1908 could make a perfect house.

This right here used to be a Norwegian church, and it was built over 100 years ago. With all the pews taken out, the floor plan is suddenly opened. At 1,200 square feet, it's not massive but it could be big enough for you.

According to Michael Esteb, the listing agent, the building has been used as an art studio most recently. If you don't want to use it as an art studio, you may need to figure out the plumbing as sewage is not available.

I could imagine all sorts of fun and largely impractical uses for this space. It feels like a set you'd see in a '90s rom-com movie where you wonder how the main character even affords to live there. Like I said earlier, if you can figure out how to set up a sewage system for it, it could be a fun home conversion. For $175,000, this property could be worth putting money into for new upgrades. It's just one of many really cool properties in Washington.
