I'm not sure what is up with me lately. This will be the 3rd article I've written recently that deals with driving in Washington State.

Maybe it's because I drove as a medical courier for 13 years, and I miss it a little.

Or perhaps I'm just ready for the warmer weather and ready to get out and hit the open road and let the air blow through my scalp (I'm bald).

Yesterday, I wrote about how people's driving habits (especially with eating) are slowly killing them.

Last week, I delved into Fatal Truck Accidents and how they're increasing in the evergreen state.

And thanks to recent findings from our friends at WalletHub, we now know that Washington is the 2nd worst state to drive in!

Looking at average gas prices, road quality (hurray for pothole birthdays), the cost of owning and maintaining a car, weather conditions that would affect road conditions, and of course, traffic congestion, they were able to score each state and rank them.

Anyone who has been stuck in rush hour in Seattle knows that we suck!

BUT we suck less than Hawaii!

Washington came in 2nd to last, with Hawaii taking the top spot.

Which kind of makes sense to me if you look at it in an optimistic light.

Hawaii is so beautiful; why do you want to rush to get anywhere? Take your time; unfortunately, if everyone is taking their time and enjoying the view, that would cause quite a congestion.

Which state is the best for driving? Kansas can snag that top honor!
