
‘The Last of Us’: Every Easter Egg You Missed in Season 2 Episode 4
While a majority of The Last of Us video game voice cast has appeared in cameos in the first season of The Last of Us TV series, Jeffrey Wright actually reprises his role as Isaac Dixon from the games in the show, giving him a unique position in the cast. This week’s episode, “Day One,” gives us Isaac’s origin story — something that’s only alluded to in the games via collectibles like notes. Its flashback scene takes place in 2018 — which means that it’s set 15 years after the initial outbreak of the Cordyceps infection.
But that’s just one of the many Easter eggs, little details and hidden secrets from the video game that you might have missed in this week‘s episode of The Last of Us. We’ll discuss the addition of a totally new character to the show who wasn’t based in the video games, what the addition of Isaac’s origin means for the events in the present, and just how accurate some of the show’s details about 2003 really are.
