The Kennewick School District is doing a great thing today, they'll be distributing free food boxes at 12 PM on Union Street in Kennewick.

The Kennewick School District posted this statement on their Facebook page concerning the free food boxes

A free food box distribution is being offered again today, Monday, April 20, thanks to some of our wonderful community partners who stepped up to support our Kennewick families while schools are closed.

Food boxes with fresh produce and other groceries will be distributed from 12 to 2 p.m. Monday, April 20 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 515 S. Union Street in Kennewick. Distribution is drive-thru only. One box of food per vehicle while supplies last. No early birds allowed in the parking lot. No registration is necessary.

We want to thank our partners at Goodwill Industries of the Columbia, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Second Harvest and the Kennewick Police Department who are making this support available to Kennewick families who need the extra assistance during this time.

Please bring an empty box to trade out, if possible.

If you need a food box, take advantage of this service and be safe out there.
