L.A. School District Pays $139 Million for Teacher Feeding Kids Semen Cookies

The LA School District has been ordered to pay $139 million to children that were abused by a teacher who was arrested in 2012.  Mark Berndt, 62 was arrested for feeding blindfolded students cookies with his semen on them. There were rumors of sexual misconduct for around 30 years but no proof could be found until a roll of film was found. According to reports, a photo developer found the pictures while developing the film and turned it into police.

The lawyers for the case said they think it is the largest settlement against a school district. They " were afraid of a blow-the-roof-off verdict to reach this kind of settlement," and they "hope...that it hurts really bad for the school district and wakes people up."
