I drive right by the memorial for Trooper James Saunders at Rd. 28 and West Lewis St. every day and think of him often. Yesterday, Oct. 7th, marked the 21st anniversary of the day he was shot and killed during a traffic stop.

There have been way too many instances just like this, for anyone to think that it's okay to reach into your vehicle after you've been given commands to stop. And yet they do.
