Local Man Breaks Neck in Accident, Refuses Treatment, Calls Friend to Pick Him Up

If you're dumb enough to drink, drive and then race your car, you're probably not smart enough to make decisions about your own medical care.Sheriff deputies found a 1990 Honda Civic rolled and on its roof lying in a ditch near Quincy Tuesday night. The driver and his two passengers crawled out of the vehicle and waved down motorists for help.

One 23-year-old man from Royal City refused medical treatment and was picked up by friends. Family later drove him to the Quincy hospital where they found he had a BROKEN NECK!

The driver was booked into jail for vehicular assault and the other passenger fled the scene.
