A man from Mead, Washington that came to Richland to meet an underage girl for sex was surprised instead by a Southeast Regional Internet Crimes Against Children task force sting.

43 year old Jonathan P. Holden was arrested on suspicion of attempted second-degree child rape and communication with a minor for an immoral purpose and booked into the Benton County jail, according to news reports.

Holden was planning on meeting a young girl he met online at a Richland park, taking her to dinner, and then take her back to his hotel, according to police detectives.

When Holden arrived at the park he was handcuffed and arrested. The girl he thought he was meeting was actually a Southeast Regional Internet Crimes Against Children task force agent posing as a girl.

The task force has been active in arresting people that plan to abuse children including 26 people that were arrested in a large sting last summer.
