More on Finley Crash: Dead Woman Was Mother of Child in Car

If you missed the story, a horrible tragedy occurred in central Finley late Friday night. A man blew through a stop sign while crossing Chemical Drive colliding with another vehicle. Several people were hurt including a 3-year-old child. More details reveal even deeper tragedy:

• The driver, a Benton City man, was intoxicated AND by coincidence a Level II sex offender.
• The dead woman, Fawn White of Hermiston, was the mother of the 3-year-old in the Benton City man's car.
• The dead woman was NOT WEARING A SEATBELT. She was thrown from the vehicle.
• The 3 year old was not in a car seat but was in a seat belt.

Authorities are now investigating skid marks to determine if either party was speeding.
