NHL Moving to Expand in Seattle, Vote in December for 2020 Start

Finally, the NHL Board of Governors’ executive committee has recommended to go forward with the plans to add an expansion team to the city of Seattle. If the final vote in December passes, Seattle should have an expansion team.

The next meeting is scheduled for December 3-4 for the  nine-owner executive members to vote.

"The committee must first recommend its findings to the entire board before a vote can happen about whether to award a franchise", according to reports.

If everything falls into place, Seattle should have it's own expansion team by the 2020-21 season.
