Unsurpassed No Li Brewery Of Spokane Takes Over Times Square
Looking like an eight-story can of craft beer goodness, Spokane's No-Li Brewhouse took over the Nasdaq digital billboard in New York's Times Square for "National IPA Day."
No Li owner John Bryant told the Spokesman Review that the moment was "such a statement for the greatness of Spokane. This is a pretty epic day."
While seeing No Li light up the Big Apple may be unexpected, it also makes perfect sense for National IPA Day. The small-town brewery is a juggernaut in the category. In 2021 alone, No Li won 58 international brewing medals, giving Australia, Japan, Germany and other beer-happy countries a taste of Washington hops.
In addition to the familiar "Born and Raised" iconography of the Riverfront Park Clock Tower, Pavilion, and Gondolas, No Li also gave a strategic visual shout-out to Seattle's Space Needle. The hope is that people will now make the connection that the Emerald City has a sibling in the Lilac City. And that it's worth visiting.
We want to congratulate No Li Brewery for being a Northwest original, true to their Spokane roots, and for leveling up once again. You make us all look good.
