A local woman has a no-bail warrant on her head after missing a court date to face charges for welfare fraud.

The state says she lied about her marital status and living situation on her tax and benefits forms to unlawfully receive assistance for her children.

Even after investigators confronted her with photos from her wedding she said they were just a joke. Then she said he never lived with her. Then they provided proof that her husband lived with her, so she said he had another residence. Then they proved that was an abandoned house. Next she provided witness statements asserting he did not live with her, and it appears she even went as far as forging a relative's signature for those statements (written by her). She then provided a lease agreement with only her name, and the state found the original where she had whited out her husband's name!

That state wants repayment of several thousand dollars received over several months.
