Regal Cinemas in Columbia Mall Torn Down & Closing at End of July

The Regal Cinemas in the Columbia Center Mall is closing at the end of July and will be torn down.

The news is a surprise to many, including myself. The announcement of the theater was announced by a construction notice made by the City of Kennewick. Employees of the theater have also been told and given notice.

I have lived here for 15 years and have a ton of great memories in that theater. As a matter of fact, I just saw Incredibles 2 last weekend with my daughter on Fathers Day.

Go experience the theater while you can before it closes for good at the end of July, according to sources.

#UPDATE The construction plans call for the 34,000 square feet building ( Regal Cinemas) with an new 45,000 square foot building ( rumored to be a "sporting goods store"). The application date for the project was back in early May.
