Outdoor movies are a fun way to spend a summer night. There's just something special about watching stars on the screen while under the stars in the sky. Unless it's raining, of course.

Seattle's popular "Movies at the Mural" outdoor series have announced their 2022 line-up, sponsored by Prime Video, and it seems to have benefited from their recent acquisition of MGM and it's film library.

The films are shown outdoors at Seattle Center's Mural Amphitheater, and before the main feature, a short film produced by students at Cornish College for the Arts is screened. So grab a patch of grass, because there's a lot of cool stuff going on here!

From the imagination, and songbook, of Lin-Manuel Miranda, comes a story of love and aspirations, from the perspective of a modern group of Dominican Republic immigrants and their children. It beat Stephen Spielberg's remake of West Side Story into theaters, and on HBO Max, and I think it's the better film, overall. The bright colors and energetic choreography are well-suited for a summer-movie-series finale.
