Tallest Building on West Coast Coming to Seattle

Seattle's Columbia Center is 76 stories and the tallest building in Seattle. Recently a proposal was approved to build a 1.2-million-square-foot building next to it on a lot that's only half a block wide. How's that possible? Building UP!

A Miami-based firm is working to build a 101-story building in Seattle. The tallest building in America is only 104 stories!

Currently the tallest building on the West Coast is in L.A., but it's very likely a 101-story skyscraper would top it.

Some are decrying the ruining of the skyline, but others are saying it will bring Seattle one step closer to being a world class city.

The tower would include 1,200 residential units, 150 hotel rooms and lots of office space. The garage could fit 750 vehicles.
