Very sad and tragic news came in from the Oregon coast on Tuesday as 3  Crab fishermen were killed when their crabbing vessel capsized off the coast of Newport Oregon.

The Mary B II capsized on Tuesday Night while crossing the bar at Yaquina Bay.

According to KAPP/KVEW News:

The U.S. Coast Guard responded shortly after and by 10:13 p.m., they notified the Oregon State Police that the boat capsized with three people on board.

A search involving boats and a helicopter began immediately.

The boat's skipper Stephen Biernacki, 50, of New Jersey was found dead with the boat. Joshua Porter, 50, of Toledo, Oregon was found dead near the beach. James Lacey, 48, of New Jersey was found in the ocean and was taken to Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport where he was pronounced dead.
