Walla Walla Driver Destroys Playground

Prospect Point Elementary School students have no playground thanks to an irresponsible driver.

According to Principal Dana Chandler in an email, the playground was struck and destroyed by a driver with no insurance. That means there's no one to pay for the damages and the school will have to wait until the district can allocate money.

A school committee will have to shop around and find a structure suitable to replace the damaged one.

Despite progress, she said she is doubtful a new playground will be in place much earlier than the start of the 2016-2017 school year.
