Text:
There comes a time
When we’re quarantined at home
And the world
Cannot meet face to face

We must take precautions
And stand six feet apart
Our life
depends on masks and gloves

We can’t go on
Forever by ourselves
Locked away
from friends and our families

We are going crazy
How long can this all last?
The truth
Is we miss our choir class!

We are the world
We are musicians
We are the ones who can’t meet up for class, but let’s keep singing
Eric Whitacre,
You’ve set the bar so high
We’ll try to blend our voices with
Technology

Ooooohhh send out your voice
In a time the World’s in need
Of a break from COVID-19
Our Teachers told us, by singing in the mic
They could turn us into a virtual choir.

We are the world
We are musicians
We are the ones who can’t meet up for class, but let’s keep singing
Eric Whitacre,
You’ve set the bar so high
We’ll try to blend our voices with
Technology

We are the world
We are musicians
We are the ones who can’t meet up for class, but let’s keep singing
We are all a part of a great big family
It’s true we’ll make a better day, just you and me.

When you’re down and out and there’s no T.P. till fall,
Well if you just don’t hoard, there’s plenty for us all
Well let us realize
That a change can only come
When we sing together as one

We are the World
We are musicians
We are the ones who can’t meet up for class, but let’s keep singing
We are all a part of a great big family
It’s true we’ll make a better day, for you and me.
