$12,000 of Rare Bengal Cats Stolen from Pasco Breeder
6 rare Bengal cats worth over $12,000 were allegedly stolen from a breeder in Pasco from her home while she was sleeping.
The cats are rare crosses between a wild Asian leopard cat and a domestic cat. All six missing cats combine for a value of over $12,000, according to reports.
The owner of the cats, Jennifer Lorene Edwards of Columbia River Bengals, says she was asleep around 9 am on June 13th and someone opened her back window and took the cats.
When she awoke, she found her back door open and the cats were gone. Four kittens, a young female and a breeding female were all taken.
Pasco police has assigned Detective Corey Smith to the case. If you have any information about the missing cats, contact him at smithc@pasco-wa.gov.
