If Washington doesn't have the most difficult-to-pronounce town names in the US, I would be surprised. There are many cities and towns that are so difficult to pronounce, even I don't say them correctly without thinking. Spokane is an easy one, but even that "well-known" city wasn't pronounced correctly nationally until Gonzaga started getting good in recent years. Most of the hardest names to pronounce in Washington State come from local native names and languages, making this part of the country home to some of the most unique but highly difficult names to pronounce.
