All are welcome at our local churches but one man decided to show up to church with his bat to pray and that's when Kennewick Police had to step in and investigate.

Kennewick Police were quick to respond to the incident. KPD posted on their Facebook the occurrence and luckily the man is behind bars at the time of this writing.

Here is what Kennewick Police said about the incident:

This morning our officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 2000 block of W 10th Ave. When a member of a local church had a knock on their front door and answered, they found 26-year-old Dakota Harding outside holding a metal baseball bat. Harding reportedly was there with the baseball bat to “pray” with the resident.

They were understandably alarmed by this and quickly called 911 to get police assistance. Officers arrived and Harding complied with their orders. He was ultimately arrested on 6 outstanding warrants (5 misdemeanors and 1 Felony for possession of controlled substance)

This incident happened Friday morning at a church in the 2000 block of West 10th Avenue in Kennewick.

Luckily, no one was harmed in the incident and Kennewick Police arrested Dakota Harding without altercation or struggle.
