You can run, but you CAN'T hide.

A Kennewick man is behind bars after crashing a stolen truck in Pasco on Saturday morning and leading officers on a foot chase.

At about 7:50 am, a victim reported that his work truck was stolen from an apartment complex parking lot on Road 68. The man was warming up the F-350 when he went inside to get something. When he returned, he found the truck was missing.

Minutes later, police found the reported stolen truck demolished against the jersey barrier of the 4th Avenue on-ramp to westbound I-182. While Police arrived on the scene, the suspect was seen running from the stolen truck. He climbed the freeway fence and ran into the Empire Drive neighborhood.

According to the Pasco Police Facebook page,

Arresting officers indicated that Villegas exhibited symptoms consistent with being under the influence of something. They received a search warrant to sample his blood, which will be tested at the lab later. Villegas was booked into Franklin County Jail on an investigative hold for Theft of Motor Vehicle, but he may face additional misdemeanor charges, too.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Dispatch at 509-628-0333.
