Before she was one of dance pop's biggest stars, Kristine Weitz was born and raised in Pasco, winning Miss Tri-Cities and Miss Washington, and competed for Miss America. Tri-Cities proved to be a great place for a young Kristine, musically compelled from a young age, to hone her craft. The money she had earned from pageants was used to further her education after high school.

After self-releasing her debut album in 1991, Kristine W became an overnight sensation with the release of her first single, "Feel What You Want," which would be the first of her 17 number-one dance songs.

The '90s aren't the only decade Kristine W dominated in, she notched number-one songs in 2011 and 2018, after owning the 2000s. She is a mainstay at pride festivals, where she has been an icon amongst the LBGTQ community for nearly 30 years.
