Mid Columbia Town Giving Away Free Holiday Lights for Homes

One small town wants to draw the attention of neighbors. They want to be the most holiday-decorated town in the Mid Columbia. So they're holding contests and actually GIVING AWAY lights!

Echo, Oregon, is located adjacent to Hermiston (to the south). Town boosters want people to think of Echo's light displays when they drive around looking at decorated homes.

The blue ribbon in the contest gets $50 and 10 more homes will get a utility bill credit.

Any NEW homeowner or business can also contact the Echo Boosters for a free strand of holiday lights!

City Hall also has a box of lights as well as a book full of display ideas to get creative juices flowing.
