Pedestrian Suffers Broken Leg After Stepping Into Traffic

Kennewick Police continue to investigate a car vs. pedestrian crash that left a man with a broken leg Wednesday night.

Police were called to the area at the intersection of West Clearwater and North Morain, where they found the 55-year-old man suffering from a broken leg.

Police did not say if anyone was at fault, no mention of charges for driver, only that the man "stepped out into the roadway while traffic was moving."

Aside from the broken leg, no mention of any serious other injuries. Police did offer a clue though, they remind pedestrians to WAIT for the signal (even after pushing the walk button) before entering crosswalks.
