Portland Meth Head Fights Forest Fire Smoke by Setting Fire in Apartment

Michael Downey is facing charges for setting a fire in his apartment. Reports say that he first denied setting the fires but later admitted that "actually, I did". He said that he was bothered by the smoke from nearby wildfires and had built that fire to help clear the smoke.

Police found a pipe with meth that he had admitted was his during a search of his apartment. Big surprise!
