Seahawks New Rookie Running Back Out Maybe 1 Month for Injury
The Seattle Seahawks 1st round rookie running back Rashaad Penny has broken his pointer finger in practice and might be out a month.
Penny has been lighting it up both in practice and in his first game as a Seahawk last Thursday against the Colts.
Penny broke his finger in a pass blocking drill in practice and originally the team didn't think he hurt it that bad.
This morning, a source in the NFL reported that Penny had flown to Philadelphia to have surgery on his finger. He is getting a screw put in and should be out 3-4 weeks.
That makes it very unlikely that Penny will be available for the start of the Seahawks season in Denver on September 9th.
