Seattle Stadium Gets Colossal Upgrades for Amazing Fan Experience
Seattle's Lumen Field, formally Seahawks Stadium and Centurylink Field, has received a huge facility update to improve the fan experience all over the stadium. They are calling the updates "Fanovation" celebrating 20 years since the stadium opened in 2002 in a recent press release to fans. The project included lots of improvements all over the stadium from new food options too new screens to view the action.
If you happen to sit near the "Hawks Nest" on the north side of the stadium, a 6,300 square foot premium food and beverage area has been built. All fans are allowed to use this with new premium food options. Now called "City-side Bars", the area is 40 feet wide with 83 feet of drink rails that face the field so you never have to miss the action. You can also warm up to a large outdoor gas fireplace on cold game days.
Another large improvement to the north side of the stadium are the two new huge video boards on the corners of the second level of the inside of the stadium. They are now more than double the original size making them a lot easier to see, especially from the south side of the stadium. There will be enhanced graphics as well as a 4k zoom for highlights and replays.
There are also lots of improvements to concessions in the upper concourse. The upgrades include a new area called "District market" that will offer check-out free buying where you don't have to wait in line to pay. Instead you use what they call new "transaction technologies" on their press release. That area will serve specialty foods from local vendors in Seattle's International District.
They also created a new "Tunnel Club Premium Hospitality" area located inside where the team comes out of the tunnel for games. It gives you a unique opportunity to experience kickoff celebrations with the best view in the stadium. The team locker room literally exits into that area before they take the field. It will also feature premium food and drink options for those members of the Tunnel Club.
