Hey, Yakima! Have you already planned your Super Bowl party snacks? If you're still looking for some ideas, heads up, I've got listed below some authentic Los Angeles and Cincinnati recipes for your Super Bowl party!

SIGNATURE LOS ANGELES RECIPES TO MAKE FOR YOUR SUPER BOWL PARTY

When I think of signature dishes from Los Angeles, I think of fancy stuff, like from Wolfgang Puck, to foods with traditional Southern Soul Food influences at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. Other than that, I have no idea, so to the "interwebs" I go!

4. CALIFORNIA PIZZA

SMOKED CHICKEN PIZZA
If you have access to a smoker, smoke your chicken and chop it up into diced cubes or shred it. If you don't have a smoker, you can use barbecued chicken. Layer your California pizza with roasted red peppers, goat cheese, fresh thyme, fresh mushrooms, and shredded mozzarella cheese to complete the authentic Los Angeles recipe. Please note: This California Pizza has NO SAUCE on it.

If you don't have time to do all that cooking, just head to the freezer section of your nearest grocery store and buy a couple of these California Pizza Kitchen BBQ pizzas for your Super Bowl party!

OSCAR AWARDS MENU DISHES:
You can look over this menu from the 89th Academy Awards Governor's Ball to get some fancy-schmancy ideas of what to serve your guests or bring to the Super Bowl party. I particularly like these hors d'oeurves, the "Taro Root Taco with Shrimp, Mango, Avocado and, Chipotle Aioli".

6. MEXICAN FOOD

CHEESE ENCHILADAS
The oldest Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles is El Cholo, established in 1923. They were famous for their tortillas (Hollywood actor Gary Cooper would put strawberry jam on his warm tortillas for breakfast) and their cheese enchiladas (see the recipe below).

SIGNATURE CINCINNATI RECIPES TO MAKE FOR YOUR SUPER BOWL PARTY

1. CINCINNATI CHILI

Spaghetti and chili actually sound like a great combination. I am sure I came up with this own recipe myself during my super-broke early 20s! Ha! The Cincinnati version has freshly diced onions and hella amounts of cheese. Check out the quick recipe video below and serve it up at your Super Bowl party. I betcha you will get lots of rave reviews.

3. REUBEN SANDWICH

Did you know that the Reuben sandwich was perfected in Cincinnati? I didn't either! I do know that Reubens are the STUFF from Arby's, so order a few Reuben sandwiches from them and then slice them into finger food-sized pieces and stick some toothpicks in 'em!

4. GOETTA

Goetta is something you would only hear about a lot if you live in Ohio, Cincinnati in particular. The long and short of it, it's a German recipe for breakfast sausage. Some Ohioans like to make it from scratch but others like to order it at one of their local delis. There is a recipe for Goetta below if you are willing to branch out and try making your own Goetta sausage!

5. PRINGLES

I had no idea that the Pringles chips originated in Cincinnati! This means you have GOT to have some various flavors of Pringles at your Super Bowl 56 party! My favorite Pringles flavor is Sour Cream.

6. FRANK'S HOT SAUCE

Oh, snap! I didn't know Frank's Hot Sauce came from Cincinnati. I love putting hot sauce on my omelets and scrambled eggs. Perhaps on Super Bowl Sunday you can make your family some omelets and slap some of that Frank's Hot Sauce on it! Yesss!

7. MCDONALD'S FILET O'FISH

The Filet-o-Fish sandwich originated from a McDonald's franchise owner in Cincinnati. It even had its own mascot named Phil A. O'Fish. (I guess he was Irish??) In 1959, a man named Lou Groen opened up the first Mcdonald's restaurant in Cincinnati. He was going through some financial struggles when he came up with the idea for the fish sandwich. He pitched the idea to the corporate heads at McDonald's and when they heard his idea they -bad pun alert- ATE IT UP. I crack myself up!

You should do the same thing with the Filet-O-Fish that I suggested with the Reuben sandwiches from Arby's: just order a few of them, chop them up into bite-sized pieces, jab a toothpick in 'em, and put them on a pretty serving platter!
