Who Knows What This Ugly Bug Is Found in a Local Garden?

Bekah Sydnor of West Richland recently found this creepy crawly near the Timothy Hay Field! She asked what it was at Tri-City Agrarians Facebook group, but opinions are mixed. Comment if you know what it is!

Most thought it was a beetle larvae. They look similar with 6 legs but this appears to only have 4. Still, most felt strongly it was a beetle larvae even though there something extra icky about this specimen. It's about an inch and a half long.
