An absolutely great story about Yakima's Cooper Kupp about to realize his dream of playing football on Sundays in the National Football League.

Only four families have ever had three or more generations of athletes drafted into the NFL, but if Cooper gets selected the way his father Craig (1990, NY Giants) and grandfather Jake (1964, Cowboys) did, the Kupps will become the fifth. Cooper is expected to be in the first five Wide Receivers taken during the upcoming NFL Draft.

When Coop sauntered onto the campus of Davis in Yakima in 2009 as a frosh, he stood 5-foot-4 and weighed 119 pounds, and four of those pounds were a result of the 2-pound ankle weights he was wearing to strengthen his skinny legs.

The hard work, dedication, perseverance, accomplishments and accolades all blossomed from there. The rest of the backstory including the glory years at Eastern Washington University are all expertly laid out in the piece.

Enjoy.
