6 Places to Get the Best Spicy Cajun Food in Washington State

Fall weather to me means bring on the spicy food. I’m talking about loading myself up with bowls of spicy chili, spicy Dan Dan noodles, spicy salsa, and spicy Cajun food! Fried catfish with some hot sauce on it gets my soul tingling, and so does a bowl of Cajun gumbo or jambalaya. Where can we find the spiciest Cajun food this side of the Mason-Dixon line?

We have found six (6) restaurants spread throughout the state that serve up the tastiest and spiciest Cajun food dishes in Washington! Go get yourself some Cajun culinary delights.

1 . Wacky Crab in Yakima

Come get your fill of shrimp, crab, crab boils, clams, mussels, corn on the cob, and potatoes and top it off with some of Wacky Crab’s Cajun sauce. They deliver on Uber Eats, too, so if you want to stay in, order out!
2 . Crawfish House in Seattle

I read online that the level of spices at The Crawfish House reportedly go up to Level 20! I don’t know about all of that; I love my food extra spicy but I’m not tryin’a die while eating it!

I’ll try a Level 5, please! LOL.

“Where’s the Cajun food at?” If you’re in Pasco, then the Cajun food is at Ann’s. How does this sound to you: crawfish étouffée, po' boy sandwiches with your choice of catfish, shrimp, oysters, chicken, or hot links, hush puppies, and Muddy Water tea? They’ve got all that and more at this food truck.
4 . Bayou on Bay in Bellingham

With food dishes like Bayou Wings, Gator Skewers, Vegan Jambalaya, and Blackened Rockfish Po Boy, it seems like Bellingham came to play with the Cajun big boys!

5 . Dat Creole Soul in Des Moines

Cajun food near Tacoma: Now we’re talking: deep-fried okra, deep-fried pickles, a Swamp Platter (alligator, catfish, shrimp, and other swampy creatures are simmered into this authentic-sounding Cajun dish), and crawfish mac & cheese can be found at Dat Creole Soul in Des Moines, Washington. I’m dying to try their jalapeno hush puppies to see if they are as tasty as they sound.

6 . Vieux Carré in Spokane

This place sounds fancy and so do the names of their food dishes.

  • Red Crab Beignets
