51 year old Matthew Ganz from Kennewick has been arrested for allegedly walking into Kadlec Regional Medical Center with a gun and threatening to kill the staff.

Police got reports of a man with a gun in the hospital Monday just before 7 pm from a 911 call. Four uniformed officers entered the hospital just 90 seconds after the call to find the suspect.

Benton County Sheriff Office and the Kennewick Police Department helped Richland police secure the hospital and try and find Ganz. They were able to find video of Ganz inside the campus on video but believed he had left.

Police believed Ganz also has suicidal tendencies according to reports.

After an area wide search, Kennewick police managed to find Matthew Ganz driving in his truck around 7:40 pm and arrest him.

He was found to be under the influence and charged with DUI,  and Felony Harassment-Threats to Kill.
